 CLUB NOTES

In case we've forgotten, our last start was a double against Carey Park and this was despite the fact that we were missing the League Coach, Reserves Team Manager, Club President, Club General Manager & Club Chicken Ticket Seller. It was a good effort by both the League & Reserves to come back from early deficits' to record strong wins. Our Colts went the other way & were overrun but not disgraced.

Award winners were: Colts: Corey Rota (Spencer Motors Mazda), Shaun Pollard (Crystals Surf & Skate), Nick Godsell (Gavin Hayres), Fraser Lammie (Ricoh) & Jesse Dellaca (Ultimate Paint & Panel), Reserves: Simon Cox (Spencer Motors Mazda), Travis Buswell (Crystals Surf & Skate), Tim Gee (Cafe 140), Brendan Blizzard (Mangles Corner Store) & Dewayne "3 Goals" Partington (Sole Surfing Accessories) & League: Ryan McKenzie (Spencer Motors Mazda), Tom Harper (Good Guys), Nathan Braddock (Onesteel), Tim Malseed (Bunbury City Motorcycles) &Nick Kane (Go Go on Hold Messages)

The Giant Trips raffle was run & won last weekend with Josette Bayliss taking out the major end of the prize, that'll help pay for the trip they're already on. Other prize winners can be viewed on the web site at sbfc.com.au

Congratulations to all those players & officials who represented the Club at the Landmark Country Championships. To win the Colts & just miss out on the A grade was a good effort that can be improved on.

Our Club Vice Captain, Beau Tann, plays his 50th game for the Red & Whites today. This added to his previous 98 games at Bunbury makes him one of our Club's more experienced players & we all look up to him for inspiration. He has been a model of determination & spirit since he arrived & we wish him well today.

Thanks to "The Big Cat" over the last 6 weeks for compiling these notes. Your efforts are appreciated.

The Lions at Brunswick is never an easy assignment as is evidenced by our 4/6 win loss record over the last 10 years out at Brunswick Oval. All grades will need to be at their peak if we are to be victorious by days end. The Club's motto of "Cede Nullis" will need to be followed.
