Inside the Tigers Den

Here is a Player Perspective on how the Pre Season has been: Its finally that time of the year again, after countless amounts of running, weights and skills sessions that started back in December, round one is a matter of days away! The boys have certainly been put through there paces by the coaching staff with training session locations ranging from Forrest Park, Maidens Reserve, the running track, hasties beach and last but not least , Hands Oval. With a very young playing group these trainings have been crucial to bonding as a team and there was no better way to bond than at a camp down at Hamlin Bay. In what was expected to be a bit if fun quickly turned nasty when a "15 minute walk" took just on an hour! Plenty of running followed and I feel I can speak for the playing group when I say that Oldys pyramids arent exactly a favourite of ours ;) This pre season has been highly challenging but highly enjoyable and the spirit within the playing group is at the highest Ive seen for a long time. But the real hard work is ahead of us but Ive got no doubt that everyone who pulls on the mighty red and white this year is in the best physical condition to bring some success to the club, bring on the season!
