Winning first Junior Grand Final, 1959 Grand Final win (loosing 1958 Grand Final was a low light) and at 17yrs playing Centre Half Back in Grand Final of last South West Carnival when South Bunbury represented the Bunbury Football Association in lieu of a combined side, beating Collie and Nelson combined sides to reach Grand Final in 1957 and playing with, and some might say carried by some great players of the era.

Earliest memory/association with the club:
Being coached by Sav Davies in under 14s and having the Club history imparted to us regularly.

Additional Comments (Eg. Fondest memory, favourite character around the club, most despised opposition, etc):
There is only 1 Derby in SWNFL that is Bunbury Vs South Bunbury. Fondest memories -The early Club functions in the old timber Club hall in Spencer St, The Building, the "Red & White Balls" and after game functions in "Southway Ballroom" and Highway Hotel functions with Bill Conno & Tom McNeill in full flight and of course everyday was a highlight when you play for Souths!

Other family members who have/had some association with South Bunbury Football Club:
Father, Max played in the 30's.
Son, Kim played juniors and several senior games before injury finished that.
Two Grandsons coming up through Marist Football Club.
