Best South Player and Coach you’ve seen:
Myself because I won five Premierships when I was player/coach. (* Iver won the 1947 Hayward Medal and is a Life member)
Most memorable incident/experience at the club:
After each Premiership when we won. When I was 16 years old and playing a Grand Final on the Rec and there previously had been lots of fights, the Inspector Police addressed us and said the first one that fights gets put in jail. That quietened me down a bit.
Earliest memory/association with the club:
Became involved in 1936. There was Bob Filsell, Don Johnston and myself and Passtimes wouldn’t give us a game, so Mirry Parker asked us to play for South Bunbury.
Additional Comments (Eg. Fondest memory, favourite character around the club, most despised opposition, etc):
Ron Davies was the most favourite character around the Club. We hated all the opposition.
